1. Who we are
This policy explains how Pellosophical LLC ("Bootroom", "we", "us"), a Florida limited liability company that operates the Bootroom service, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the service.
2. What we collect
Every analytics tool on Bootroom is free and works without an account. If you use Bootroom anonymously, we do not collect your name, email address, or payment information.
Account data. Accounts are optional. If you create one, we store your email address, your account tier (free or paid), and account timestamps. Sign-in works by an email magic link; a session cookie is set only when you sign in.
Payment data. If you subscribe to the paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages and do not touch our servers. We store only your Stripe customer id and your account tier.
Content you save (paid features). Your player watchlist, saved views (a name plus the view's URL), search history entries (a label plus the URL), private player notes (plain text, up to 5,000 characters, visible only to you), and your weekly-digest email preferences.
Access tokens and request logs. If you mint an MCP token (or an API key), we store only a SHA-256 hash of it plus a short display prefix — never the token itself. Each API/MCP request is logged (endpoint, status code, response time, timestamp) and those logs are deleted after 30 days.
Product analytics. If you opt in via the consent banner, we collect anonymous product-usage events through PostHog (pages visited, features used) to understand and improve the service. No events are sent unless you opt in.
Anonymous usage telemetry. To understand what people search for and which tools they use, we record the text typed into the search palette and the result it resolved to (including searches that matched nothing), and visits to the analytics tool pages together with the filter settings in the page URL. These records carry no account, device, or network identifier — no user id, no IP address, no cookie — so they cannot be linked to you or to each other. Because nothing personal is stored, this collection is on for all visitors and is not part of the consent banner.
Aggregate traffic analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure overall site traffic — visits, pages viewed, referrers, and countries. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting, and stores no identifying information about you or your device. Visitor counts are anonymous estimates.
Operational logs. We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and operational purposes.
3. How we use it
Account data is used to sign you in, manage your subscription, and keep the content you save attached to you. We email you only to deliver sign-in links and, if you turn it on from your account page, an optional weekly digest — which you can switch off at any time. With your consent, we use anonymous product analytics to understand and improve Bootroom. Operational logs are used for security and to keep the service running.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party processors
We use the following sub-processors:
- Cloudflare — hosting, edge infrastructure, database, and cookieless aggregate traffic analytics (Web Analytics)
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
- Resend — transactional email (sign-in links, opt-in digest)
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (only if you opt in via the consent banner)
Each operates under its own privacy policy and data-processing agreements.
5. Cookies & the consent banner
A session cookie is set when you sign in to an account; it keeps you signed in and is not used for tracking. If you opt in via the consent banner, PostHog stores an identifier in your browser (localStorage) used to anonymously group page views into sessions for product analytics; your consent choice itself is also kept in localStorage. You can decline, and analytics stays off. We use no advertising cookies.
6. Data retention
Account data and the content you save are kept for as long as your account exists. If your paid subscription ends, your saved data is preserved, not deleted — paid features lock until you resubscribe. API/MCP request logs are deleted after 30 days. Anonymous analytics events are retained only as long as needed to understand product usage; operational logs are rotated on a short schedule. First-party usage telemetry (search text and tool usage) is retained indefinitely; since it carries no identifier, it cannot be traced back to any person.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights — including deleting your account and its data — email support@bootroom.gg. We will respond within the period required by applicable law in the State of Florida, United States.
8. Children
Bootroom is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by a reasonable means. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
